The International conference «Church, science and education in Russia: history and prospects» was held on October 11th.
On September 30 and October 1 Glinka String Quartet gave concerts in two Transcarpathian cities - Lvov and Uzhgorod.
On August 21, 2010 on the territory of Solovetsky Monastery there took place a concert of Glinka String Quartet, which was a part of events, dedicated to the Primatial visit of the Holy Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus' Kirill I. The program consisted of works by Mozart, Haydn, Bach, Tchaikovsky and Borodin.
On September 6th, 2009 the violoncellist Oleg Smirnov was granted a honorary title - the Meritorious Artist of Russia.
